Trex is a compound trick-taking card game, played in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. The game is varied in that it has five rounds, called kingdoms. The game is played by 4 players each playing on his own. It can be played also in partnerships with opposing players being on the same team. There are four negative contracts (No King of Hearts, no Queens, No diamonds and No tricks) and the Trex contract, which is laying down first a Jack and then consecutively other cards in order or pass, the aim being to finish your cards as early as possible. If playing in the King, Queen or Diamonds mode and you have no more of the suit being played then you must play the points cards.
